- Micropiles are widely used in Malaysia as a remedial option for underpinning structures with foundation problems. Micropiles are also one of the most common foundation option for superstructure. The sizes of micropiles can vary from 100mm to 350mm which able to carry the load from 150kN to 2,800kN.
- Soil nailing is one of the most popular method in Sarawak for highway and hillside development projects. The concept of soil nailing is to reinforce and strengthen the existing ground by installing the steel bars which called ‘nails’, into a slope and create a reinforced section which able to stable and retain the ground behind it.
